Open Research Opportunities

The Department of Otolaryngology supports a wide range of basic science, translational and clinical outcomes research programs. Fields of study include general and pediatric otolaryngology, audiology, laryngology/rhinology, otology/neurotology and head and neck oncology, as well as investigations at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute into mechanisms that underlie development, function and disease of the auditory and vestibular systems. Research rotations are available to provide opportunities for Otolaryngology residents, fellows and medical students to learn research skills in the context of specific ongoing research programs.
